nice site, I like the walkthroughs with the programming and stuff, really helped. But why didnt you just make your own forum with the phpBB2 thing? Would you know how I could make one? I didnt see any links on your site for that. But cool boards, I have a few tricks for this kinda at my place, commandwolf2.proboards16.com. If you want anything or are going to reply to this, can you do so at the Tripod forums where I posted about the forums? thanks.

Very good site for QBasic programming Is it still active? I have some programs/modules that you may like to include, for example: Word-wrap text then display in a box that you can scroll with the arrow keys A new set of mouse routines that draw their own cursor (based on Screen 12) An encryption program (not yet complete)

Hi Ray, I like the site. Its very interesting, especially the bit about running your own web server. I like messing around with stuff like this. I have my own server on my PC with PHP, MYSQL and perl installed. I only use it for testing as its my main (and only!) pc and it runs win98 and therefore is full of security holes. But its nice to see a site that is run from someones basement. I mean, all you need is a good connection and goodbye FWP's! BTW I found your site from CEXX forums. As CWolf2 said in an earlier post, why not install PHPBB forum on your site? PHP itself is free and MYSQL is free for non profit sites. The forum scripts are free and easy to set up. The same goes for guestbook scripts. Good luck with the site and keep up the good work

;DRay Im the person that designed & painted the Bristol SD mural...with the help of my daughter Rochell and my son Morgan. I am so flattered that it made the internet on something other our local school site. My kids & i really enjoyed the time that was spent creating the work! We have worked on a few more projects together since then, but nothing that big. We hope the other visitors to your sight enjoy the art work too. If you have any questions or would like any more info on the mural please email me at mkbartell@abe.midco.net Thanks again for the recognition! KARIN

That mural is fascinating and so unexpected. I thought it was worth the 500 mile round trip on its own! I'll be emailing you soon.

Last time I was in Bristol HMS Flying Fox had been re-located to a shore position at Winterstoke Road Bedminster? Ashton? I used to play rugby for the "Flying Fox' team but never joined the navy. My previous enquiry to "Ray" was about St Nichola Church. and I can now be contacted on vbdenford@optusnet.com.aA recent emigrant to Australia (1969)i know that it is now considerd quite the done thing to have been related to a convict and am amzed to hear that a Samuel Denford of Bristol was sent to Australia as a convict in the mid 1830s. how can \I find outif this was a relative? Hi Vernon, it looks like you're going to have to trace your own family tree back to him. This is already around 8 generations away so you might have a fair bit of work ahead. On an off-chance I did a quick search of the internet and I was surprised to find that someone else is looking into the history of Samuel. It seems he was born around 1808 and transported for housebreaking in 1834. See archiver.rootsweb.com/th/read/Bristol_and_Somerset/2002-11/1037005252 (about half way down the page) Ray
